General Questions
What is LatinMap?
LatinMap is a digital platform that connects the global Latin dance community. You can discover events, follow your favorite dance brands, and connect with other dance enthusiasts.
How does LatinMap benefit me as a user?
You can easily find Latin dance events, follow brands, view personalized overviews, and engage with a growing community.
Is LatinMap free to use?
Yes, the core features of LatinMap are free. Some features for professionals or organizers may require payment.
How can I contact LatinMap?
Log in and go to the contact form. We respond as soon as possible.
Account Management
How do I create an account?
Click "Register" or "Join Now" on the website and fill in the required information. You must be at least 18 years old.
What should I do if I forget my password?
Click "Forgot Password?" on the login screen and follow the steps to set a new one.
How can I update my personal details?
Log in and go to your profile settings. There, you can update your information.
Can I delete my account?
Yes. Go to your account settings and choose "Delete Account." Alternatively, contact us via the form (login required).
Events & Search Functions
How do I search for events on LatinMap?
Use the search bar on the homepage or visit the events page. You can filter by location, dance style, event type, and date.
What filters can I use?
You can filter by date, location, dance style (e.g., salsa, bachata), and type of event (party, workshop, etc.).
Can I save events or searches?
Yes. With an account, you can like events and save search queries.
How do I follow my favorite brands and events?
You can like events and mark brands as favorites. There are no automatic updates. However, when searching for events, you can use the option "Show all events from my favorite brands" to view their upcoming events — including new ones you haven't liked yet.
For Organizers and Brands
How do I create an event on LatinMap?
Log in with a professional account. Go to your dashboard and click "Create Event." Fill in the necessary details and save.
Can I promote my events on LatinMap?
Yes. You can use paid promotions or featured event placements. Contact us via the platform for more information.
Privacy and Security
How is my data protected?
LatinMap complies with the GDPR. We use encryption and secure storage to protect your data.
Who can see my information?
Only professional accounts (brands) can control whether their email address and phone number are visible on their profile. User profiles are not yet live, so this setting does not apply to individual users at this time.
Can I control what others see about me?
As a brand, you can decide whether your email and phone number are visible. This setting is not yet available for standard user profiles.
Technical Support
The site isn't working properly. What can I do?
Try refreshing your browser or switching to a different one. Make sure your internet connection is stable.
Which browsers and devices are supported?
LatinMap works best with the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. Both desktop and mobile are supported.
How do I report a bug or issue?
Log in and use the contact form to report the issue. Please describe what’s happening and which device you’re using.
What should I do if I encounter inappropriate content?
Use the "Report" button on the relevant profile or event. Our team will review the report.
